P&O Irish Sea Ferries Second Mate - MV Norbay - from 2009

  • Work as Relief Chief Mate when required
  • Freighting between Liverpool and Dublin
  • Stood by during a refit in Belfast

P&O North Sea Ferries Second Mate - MV Norcape - 2008

  • Stood by 3 month extensive refit
  • Assisted with the introduction of the vessel to a new service between Tilbury and Zeebrugge

Royal Fleet Auxiliary Cadet to Acting First Officer - Various - 1998 to 2008

  • Stood by the build and trials of two ships; RFA Wave Ruler 2002 and RFA Lyme Bay 2007
  • Sailed as Operations Officer of RFA Brambleleaf during the 2003 Gulf Conflict
  • Assisted with the planning and execution of a multi-national exercise involving USA, UAE and UK ships
  • Acted as Liason Officer on INS Shakti during exercises in 2006
  • Developed Ship/Helicopter anti-FIAC tactics with members of 820 squadron
